I wanted to provide documents with complete workflows explaining how the user can fix 2 common issues on their Arcturus XT without having to contact technical support.
The first one explains how to correct for a stage bump. If the stage on the Arcturus XT is bumped off of it's home position, the microscope lamp will flash slowly, indicating that there is an error that needs to be fixed. All the user has to do is reset the stage according to the provided instructions, no tools required. Once corrected, starting of the AXT software will work as normal.
The second one explains how to reset the cap robot arm from triggering the lower sensor. Sometimes at the end of a microdissection session the cap robot arm does not go to the proper home position, and the next time the user starts the AXT software, the microscope lamp will blink rapidly, and an error message will appear on screen. The only tool required for this fix is the 3mm standard screwdriver that is included in the toolbox that comes with the Arcturus XT.
It is important that when making these adjustments that the user turns off the instrument (rocker switch on the left hand side of the CCU). After these fixes are completed, the user can then turn on the CCU and start the software.
If you ever have an issue with these fixes please do not hesitate to contact our technical support team.
